I started my ministry in 2001 as the youth pastor of the Hastings Church of the Nazarene in Hastings, Michigan and loved every minute of it (ok, not EVERY minute, but most of it!) In February 2008, I became the pastor of the Moorland Campus of The Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene in Muskegon, Michigan and I was ordained as an Elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 2009. In 2012, I led the Moorland Campus to transition away from being a satellite campus of The Lakes to become the Ravenna Church of the Nazarene. I stayed with the Ravenna Church until June 2013 when I took a year-long sabbatical from ministry. In June 2014, I became the pastor of Oak Grove and can’t imagine being anywhere else!
My wife April and I have been married since 2001 and we have two kids – our son Samuel is 12 and our daughter Avery is 10. I am HUGE fan of comic books (especially Batman!), good coffee and I have been a long-suffering, hope-holding(to a fault) Detroit Lions fan ever since I can remember!
My favorite part of being a pastor is seeing people begin to follow Jesus and discover who He is and what life with Him as Lord and Savior is all about.
